Chris "Crisbie" Baker is a musician and teacher hailing from the world of heavy rock and blues. With his distinct style and undeniable talent, the New Jersey native has made a significant impact on the music scene as a founding member of The Way Outs (Atomic Music Group) and Ego Planet (Argonauta Records).
Drawing inspiration from iconic bands such as The Black Crowes, Judas Priest, and the legendary Stevie Ray Vaughan, Crisbie has crafted a unique sound that shines through his song writing and guitar playing.
Throughout his career, Crisbie has performed and collaborated with numerous bands on stages all over the world. In 2016 he teamed up with Eric13 of Combichrist for multiple international tours. The rock and roll duo had the privilege of performing in Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Finland.
A few years later he had the opportunity to work with the legendary DMC of Run-DMC, for the single and music video, “Bad Guy” released in November of 2022.
In 2023 Crisbie’s brainchild, Ego Planet signed with esteemed record label Argonauta Records for the release of their debut album. The record features Chris on guitars, bass and one track on drums. Metal Revolution writes, “Ego Planet is a raging success and the fact that it’s a debut album is truly jaw-dropping. Sophomore efforts are always hard, but EGO PLANET have certainly made it extra difficult for themselves by starting off with perfect Heavy Stoner Prog that does melody better than almost anyone I’ve ever heard."
